Description
If there are truly angels
they sing in the laughter of children
encouraging us to dance in celebration
for the sheer joy of being alive
I see the power of the universe
infinite possibilities
in my son's eyes
If there are truly angels
they are not what I aspire to be
it takes more strength to be true to yourself
when you possess the free will to choose
I pray to a multi-faceted ageless, nameless, genderless entity or entities
which I simply call "The Powers That Be"
If there are truly angels
I've felt their tears and their presence
in times of need, in times of fear
they are the messengers
Does mankind heed them anymore?
Does mankind need them anymore?

This was originally a short poem, but when I was about to upload, I expanded it. That's not normally something I do but I felt it was right.
P.S. The pic is one of my son, Torin, when he was younger. This was before the digital camera so it was scanned in :)
