Description
Rendered in Vue 4.2, Postwork the dust & frame in PSP8.
This scene was bear in that Vue started crashing after adding many PZ3 horses, so I had to delete some. I always have visions of grandeur when doing a scene, too many Poser objects LOL. This scene wasonly about 2.5mil polys.

nice work...I've cowboyed on a ranch and have brought many a herd in for morning round up. I can almost hear the thunder of hoofs on the ground.

I love the beautiful and free wild horses. A wonderful job of posing. I read a tutorial once about placing lots of trees in a scene and they recommended an alpha. Do you think it would work with horses?
bigbraader
Yes, Shari123, excactly my idea too. Render some horses on a black background and use them for aplhas. Nice job already.
Doro
Really beautiful scene - I love horses too. Another possibility to add more poser characters is to change them first into vob-objects. I really don't no why, but vue accepts more of them than pure pz3's.

Great job; love the ground, it's so realistic with the weeds and plants, and the horses are gorgeous; excellent job!

Well I know that, especially with poser objects the number of polygons doesn't seem to be the limitation in Vue. But still a lot of horses in this beautiful composition. Wonderful groundcover and effects as well. Excellent work !

Doro's suggestion has worked well for me in such situations, in fact, I make the conversion even with single items as it seems to take less mem when moving the objects about. Well done scene!
niandji
Excellent scene - realistic ground work and great work on all those horses! Well done!!

Thanks folks!!! Stupid me never thought of saving them as vobs 1st...DOH!!! I do that with xfrogs trees don't why I never thought about doing it with pz3's. Thanks for the advice :)

Looks already excellent. The "save as vob's" would give you much more options for later images too. No need to go through Poser all the time. I do that a lot with my animals - and other stuff. Excellent image already here. Very well done!

Being a horse lover this one really touches home. Fantastic work here!!

Impressive artwork. The variation in color and poses of the horses is really well done. I've had similar problems in VUE when using large numbers of external objects. I either convert them to Vue objects, uses alpha planes and/or render them out a piece at a time and composite the layers together in PSP.
