Description
A rock carved like a woman,
Pain's torso, guardian of the place,
Told raining beads. I did not know
What grief her look wrung dry,
In what blind rooms and tombs
I and my fellows would walk heavily.
Magdalen of the rock
Unvirgin pray for us.
In the waves throb our agonies awake
Rise to your true-all-suffering kiss.
