Artwork to amuse, amaze, and sometimes terrify.
BIO
I started out illustrating my own non-fiction books. When I "went digital," I realized that I could be doing much more creative things and soon started doing illustrations that stood alone.
Since then I've created fantasy and science fiction book illustrations for Byron Preiss/ibooks, Delirium Books, Seattle Books, and many magazines and small book publishers. One highpoint of my work was having an illustration selected for the cover of Renderosity's first Digital Art for the 21st Century (with my work also appearing inside, too).
In addition to the artwork I have here at Renderosity, I have more pictures "for your viewing pleasure" at DuncanLong.com

A super cool image! I love the figure in the background! Excellent colors and postwork.

LOL 'no zombies hurt'. I don't suspect they would feel it too well if they were. ... do zombies 'feel'?! Another great picture Duncan. She looks 'responsible' for something!

Looks great! Reduced to the maximum - excellent.

Thanks everyone... "Reduced to the maximum" is a good point; sometimes I tinker and "imrpove" until a picture is much the worse for wear. Knowing when to stop is as important as making oneself start in the first place.

great piece. I am curious. The focal point of this seems to me to be the face of the girl and not the "zombie" in the background. In fact the girl's face seems to be quite realistic. I am wondering... is the title in reference to the girl rather than the zombie? Does this particular girl have a name?

Zescanner is on the mark... The "evil" in this picture is the gal, not the zombie (who I had in mind as her victim). I originally made a hi-resolution face that I then painted over the original figure which was digitally painted -- the only poser figure in the picture is the zombie :o) -- which is obviously greatly reworked... But the Poser figure got the groundwork for a quick reworking... Poser is great for doing the "grunt work" of layout this way so the artist can "take it from there."
