Description

Sunday was one of the most uninspiring hill days I can remember. ~@~ I sat in the carpark at 7:30am hoping the rain would stop battering my car for long enough to get my jacket out the boot, it didn't. There was, without a doubt, a little devil sitting on my shoulder muttering on about drinking the flask of coffee, eating my sandwiches and driving home nice and warm and dry. I had to tell him that, (a) I needed the exercise. (b) I've spent lots of money on Gortex (c) I should be used to this kind of weather in Scotland, and of course... (d) I needed to get a picture for RR! ~@~ I did the hill in record time, four and a quarter hours of non-stop downpour, but boy am I sore today. My boots might be dry in time for winter! I only risked the camera for this one shot....I wonder why I bother. I think I'll book a fortnight in the Sahara next year.

Dont say I didnt warn you about mother nature! It is a moody and I mean Moody shot, gonna give it an excellent for bravery alone! You do realise that in saying that summer was finally here in your Falkirk wheel I photo was the kiss of death. Hope it gets better before the white stuff gets here. Well done under the circumstances

For this shot we say 'thank you!'. Love the moss green render ... it gives us a feel of the mist & rough terrain. You have to be the goer in the moor to get the thrills upon the hills! Good on you for persisting... Tell the wee demon t'gae soak his heid in the brown stuff!

The result of your risk is a most mysterious and captivating capture that allows the mind to wonder and create all types of things living in such a place. Great stuff!

LMAO! A truly wonderful story! Know that feeling, wet wet wet! But you know, dying of thirst in the Sahara might bring you back at this location in pure joy, singing in the rain with your mouth open to catch all the precipitation you can get. Guess an average model would be better, half of the rain exported to the Sahara, makes them glad, makes you glad! Thank you for sharing this!
