Description

Well this is the last render of this work I got to do. I was not expecting hurricane Jeanne to hit so I started the final of this work the night before I got hit and woke to see all my power out. When the power came back on I discovered that my working BR5 file was corrupted and I was unable to finish this piece. It just had a few changes like some things on the front table and some corrections to the lamps in the back. This is close enough to what I had planned that I decided to post it in hopes you could still enjoy viewing. I also want to wish well to all the others who got smacked by the latest storm, I know it was the worst I have ever seen and this state really did'nt need this again.

such unlike bryce to put out a quality render like this... looks more like c4d or 3dsmax... goes to show the patience and attention to detail you placed into this piece... actually kinda jealous... lol... but really outstanding work... your best one yet!!! :o) v

Sorry to hear about the storm corrupting your file, but it's hard to believe this could be any better! Textures, lighting, modeling, scale, POV, all are perfect IMO! Love the doilies and the carpets too!

wonderful. Two ideas come to mind, neither are criticisms. First is that someone's going to kick over the antique vase! Second, the hallway runner illustrates the problem with carpets-- you need a very high res bitmap, and some way of faking their thickness and hairiness. I've never solved the problem in a render-cheap way. . . Details in here are incredible-- I especially like the light "leaking" under the doorway on the right; very subtle, but adds so much realism to the scene. The cracking paint job on the foreground left wall is great as well. . .
