Is the engines on the back supposed to be angle outwards like that bud, especially with regards to airflow dynamics.

The angle is nice, the point of view is rather dramatic, however, if an artist wants to depict an existing aircraft (the title reads "mig-27", which is a Russian ground attack plane), then it is important to stick to realistic details as much as possible: http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/vvs/mig27-01.htm I mean, nobody would complain about an artistic rendering of a concept/fantasy aircraft, right?
