Hey everyone, here's a little bit about myself and my love for 3d rendering.BIOWell, I was born on January 17, 1989 (do the math to find my age ;-) ). I live in Ohio where I am currently a senior in high school. I've been working on Terragen for about 6 years now, and as some of you probably know, I've come a long way. I started Cinema 4D about two years ago but I never seriously got into it until about a year ago. Now I absolutely love the program. I tried Bryce over the summer of 2003, but I never really got into it. Well, thats about it for now, thanks everyone for viewing my work!

You did an excellent job with your first time . Now you can do more magic art ;) .

Hi. The table texture is too blurred towards the camera. Maybe use some different objects as well :)

Looks like a nice HDR map - however, it doesn't look as though it's actually lighting the scene - is it just being used as a reflective/environment element?

@kromekat: Yea, I kinda forgot about realistic lighting so its just a reflection/environment texture. Thanks for the comments!

As a matter of fact... Unless you have combined multiple exposures into 1 floating point format image (ie. radiance), it is not HDRI by any means. Then to use it in the luminance channel of a sky for image based lighting with Radiosity turned on would actually make it fit the description of GI or HDRI as many refer to it.

Its a beautiful map, but it looks like an LDR image. are you sure its HDR? anyways, very nice picture. i love the wood-like texture.

After many comments from different sites, I have discovered that I did not use a real HDR map. Making an HDR is much more complicated than I originally thought. Thanks for the comments though everyone!
