@Mihai: thank you, but it's not a rose... :)) It's a cross between a poppy and a rose (at least that's how it looks like) but I've no idea how it's called. I'll probably post another shot, in color this time, so you'll see what I mean :))

Wow - your postwork makes it look artificial - as if it was made of silk. Also thought it was a rose first, but after your last posting I had a closer look, and I think I had one of those some time ago. Could it be a gardenia?

@Drea: I'm not a flower expert, but after taking a quick look at some gardenia shots on the net, I don't think that's what it is... When I post the color version, maybe someone will be able to identify it.

ok, so the truth is, I don't know what tentacle is :))) I only know the computer game I played once it was about tentacles :)) But seriously, I suspect you rotated the photo (flowers usually don't grow this way - from my gardener's experience;)) which was a great idea to make it look really original.
