Description

Just wondered what it would look like if I put a circular polarizer filter on the lens and shot into the sun..... After I almost blinded myself I thought... wow, that can't be good for the CCD! Well what can I say, sometimes my enthusiasm outweighs my intellect!!!

No, not to good for it,have to put on some ND filters as well, and I mean a few, lol. I know, I have thought the same things too, wanting to try. Its an interesting idea, and an excellent capture, considering your camera didnt start to smoke after you took it,lol.

it's definitely not good for the CCD (especially if infrared is focussing on it) - trying the moon is less harming ;-)
