Description
Taken from Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania, May 2004. "Rescue" is my canine hiking companion and takes time to enjoy the scenery from this vantage point.

This is an excellent photo, beautiful lighting, and well composed. I really do like the working dog best of all. The Dalmatian is not always the easiest dog to train and work with, and it is joy to see them truly at work, and enjoying it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all your great comments - and I'd appreciate some constructive criticisms too (if you have any). Rescue is a very sweet pup, and I've trained him since we adopted him as an abused puppy. He's a great friend, and a good hiking partner, carries his own gear, never complains about the weight (sometimes I even get him to carry the water). He doesn't like me opening his bag, thinking I'm adding weight - always shoots me a dirty look. He doesn't take many photos though - so all people ever see is HIM hiking, and they never believe I actually go.... =)
