Ok, here is one of my Pictures made with Terragen.
I 'm not very experienced with this Program, but I like the Results.

I like the clouds, never seen any similar here before :) Surfacing looks ok, but I think it could need some more layers.

You have the right idea, trying copying something in the gallery that catches your eye.
