Can anyone tell me how to avoid grainy scanned pictures when the picture itself was very clear?

Oh I love the colors here, so pretty. Excellent capture and job here. As for scanning, all I can say is to play around with the resolution, and if you can scan the negative,that much better.

Hmmm. Never had that problem except with my very first, really cheap scanner. I'm using a Canon, lower-end scanner. Cost about $140, but they have a similar one for $70 or so. Only difference is this model has a slide/negative capability and better OCR. Got any friends with scanners you can test drive? Comp store will let you do same? Otherwise, your image is fine. Good eye for a good scene.

Fabulous scene!! I live just 10 minute drive from the Ohio River...but I'm quite some distance from you....in Kentucky. Breathtaking sunset! Sorry...can't help you about scanners. My scanner is pretty primitive.

Sometimes it is just the upload Juj... Me and Rosity have that problem all the time and i DO have a brand new scanner and it still didn't help since the scanned version is perfectly clear. Waving to Susan since I am also in Ky...lol
