Hard not to read it, whether aimed that way deliberately or not, as a smiling, on target tribute, impressively executed, to two pioneers (1)the early cinematic genius Georges Melies ("Doctor Melius"), and (2)the early CG genius(and surely the best author as well) John Sledd. Superb!
