Description

How boring it can be to wait for a render ... this is what I've been playing with in the meantime (meantime? right word?) - balls :-) - some of them will be part of the image I'm workin on, some don't (sorry for my bad English :-)

Yes - good use of "meantime" :-) Your English is good! I've been thinking of doing some blown glass with colors and streaks in it a la Chahouli (not sure I spelled his name right). This gives me inspiration!! I'd like to know how you put the bubbles in the glass like they might be in real artistic glass?

Thanks :-) Danke :-) The bubbles are just spheres, all chanels of except reflection 100% and highlight (small but bright spot). There are 1300 spheres in each glasball (handplaced :-). The effect comes from the raydepth (here between 15 and 30) and the lighting (here a HDRI-Image in the sky without radiosity and activated standardlight). The Glasball itself is a booled ball for the glas and a ball inside with the liquid (it must be a little bit smaller then the inside of the booled ball), I gave ot of fresnel to both materials, various transparency and a bit of yellow in the liquid, thats all. But you must try around a lot till you found the right mix :-)
