Description

Terragen, WorldMachine, Irfanview, PSP For Josie and Dick, who live not too far from the Big Bend in South Texas and go there as often as they can. Hopefully, this resembles something they have seen there. Thanks so much for your comments and warm welcome here. And thanks very much for looking. :)Maria

Surface layers & textures are very colorful & nice. I see you've given up 3D clouds - these are better. Terrain has a regular "bump" to it which makes me think it's WM & a small file. Very good for a learner!

Rich, they are 3D clouds. :)) Both the WM and TG files are 2048, modified with the modify option in TG, & rendered at 4000x3000.

The clouds are superb :) Terrain is indeed a bit strange, like a ploughed fields or something... ;) Surfaces are very good!

Agree with Rich2 and utak3r...the plowed look maybe because of the pixel aspect ratio...low settings lower the height though and would spoil the excellent viewing angle....super work!

Those edges a typical for wm terrains. Sometimes it helps to do a little pw on the terrain in Terraformer. :-) Very nice render anyway.

I like the way those "rusty" hills grow out of the rough hewn terrain. You have a good balance with the light angle and shadows- I think the sky gives it a cool, breezy feel.
