This is beautiful. the pose is perfect... everything is. and the hands on the piano... the colors in that area gradually shift toward the other side and up... it makes you look over the whole thing. the background isn't obtrusive... it blends well but is also interesting in itself. The upward turn of the head says it all, the look in the eyes and the colors... It puts me right there. I can hear the music. Yep, the name is perfect... he really came across as himself. not a persona, not some kind of man who's making up the struggles of a man.. but truely himself. He shone through his music... without him, his music is SO not the same. Anson, you rock.

I have started to sketch a piece called Sexual Healing just yesterday. And of course the soundtrack was all Marvin's. Wonderful piece. My favourite so far.

You've got my vote on this one. :o) This has got to be my favorite in this series. Even though I still really love what you did with Tupac, I like your digital portrait of Marvin even better. Fantastic!!!
