Description

Looking away from the sun causes less bluishness of that hazy air. Left from the Schwalmere (2777 m, 9111 ft) you can see a part of the Thuner Lake. The inversion is elevated to a height of approximately 2600 m (8500 ft), thus covering the mountain-ranges of Jura, Vosges and Black Forest (all below 1720 m, 5640 ft). In the winter there's a good chance to see these mountain-ranges from here. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 28 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

feels like I must be on a plane lookin' down! man we are high!!!! remember that John Denver song...Rocky Mountain high...smile that's goin' thru my head now! these mountains are so rich in character! love how they've been etched by the elements! What's that body of water way in the distance, Jan-Carel? that's surely not the same little lake we just saw is it? A+++++ for your excellent work!!! :) vote!

Wonderful--great sense of height and space. It reminds me of some volcanoes I've been lucky enough to visit. Very alien landscape almost. :)
