Description

This is my 3rd attempt at a portrait render in 3ds MAX. I haven't rendered anything in the fantasy field before, and although its not much, I gave it a shot. :) Check out the others in my portrait series in my gallery if you wish. Please feel free to comment etc.. :) and let me know what you think. Additional Credits: ------------------- Hair by Kozaburo, Stephanie Base model by DAZ3D (This took ages to render due to all that transmapped fur. Messed around with tinting. Model was morphed in Poser then imported Using the Reiss Studio Plugin into Max. All lighting, tinting, shadows, camera etc.. was done in Max :) )

excellent render, remarkably done. Wonderful choice of tone and color of the hair, as well as the furry stuff on her shoulders. A pretty sensitive approach to it all

Thanks you all soo much for your comments :), I appreciate them greatly. To answer your questions, I mentioned a bit at the bottom of the render what tools I used to import the model from poser. The fur/boa as it says is from Brycetech a was imported in with the rest using Reiss Studio's 'Bodystudio' plugin for Max. I used to only render in Poser, but because of the great lighting etc.. I can get from Max I bought the plugin so I could take the next step :).

The base models were imported into Max. The models only exist as a Poser format... So to use them in Max I had to import it from Poser. Once imported, lighting, material effects (eg tinting), camera, environment settings, shadows and scene was set up. I wouldn't be able to achieve the result I was after if I were to use Poser. :) And yes it took me a long time to get something I was happy with.

Yeah (as above), brycetech made the fur model. I am currently rendering I full size version of this (3XXX x 2XXX) at 300dpi. All that transmapped fur takes ages to render!!! :) Thankyou all for your comments.
