Description
~ Nostalgic Resurrection ~
- This is a photo I took in the early 1970's using a manual Minolta 35mm SLR with a wide angle lens - the camera was setup on a tripod - I fixed a long remote cable sutter release to a wooden brace I could set on the floor and trigger with my foot - The Photo ended up on a poster for the band - What you see here is a picture I took of the poster a couple years ago in a effort to save one of the few remaining images I have left - I used a 1 MP Vivitar and made a hard copy with my printer - I found the printer copy in a file cabinet folder yesterday and rescaned it into my computer - Needless to say there was not much to work with but it is all I have left - after a bit of postwork this is what I came up with - The band is SunShip - one of several I played with from 1969 - 1979 - Kind of a ZZ Top style band playing rock clubs in the midwest - Our song list had songs like Back in the saddle by Aero Smith - More than a feeling by Boston that kind of stuff - From rt - lft Dave Severson Lead Guitar vocals - Jeff Gefkee Drums vocals & SoulEatar Bass Guitar vocals - I took this during a rehersal at a club in Sioux Falls S.D.
- Not a great picture but one hell of a history :)
- Thank you for viewing & take care -

I saw the bass player from Bill Haley and the Comets split his pants when he rolled on the floor and took the bass on top of himself. That was a picture, this is a gig. Thanks for letting me into this space in your time.
