Impressive art work ! Excellent done.

Lighting could use work (mainly in that it's too dark on the left side, while the nearby scrolls are whitewashed), as could the flame. The bumps on the paper scrolls is overdone imo. Of course I could never do something this well, but I figure constructive criticism might not hurt.

It's all in the monitor. Left side is perfect zones 8-9 and the area around the candle is somewhat burned out: on my monitor - doesn't really bother me; the 'acid' test would be if this went to print. Exceptional image and design.

This looks fantastic to me, nice attention to detail, like the page curl, the spots of ink... really well done~

Super modelling Sven, The lighting could be a bit warmer though bud.

It's excellent, I'll stick up for the lighting. Maybe cuz I'm on a mac. Also, i like things to be a little dirty and gritty.

Don't Change a thing, Every Monitor views things slightly different, It's fantastic just the way it is.

when i first looked at this, i thought "whoaaa", but then i noticed a few things that i didn't quite like about it. (1) as gambit said, the bumps on the scrolls look a bit overdone. (2) the candle and candlelight might need a bit more work. the flame doesn't really look like a candle flame, the melted top of the candle is too bright, and the light is too white for a candle. (3) the wood texture of the table is pixellated. if this was a scene in a game, it would be fine, but usually for still renders it's expected to use high-resish textures (or seems so to me anyway). to conclude though, as gambit also said, i can't do something like this (or at least haven't tried), so all i'm giving is hopefully objective and constructive criticism. it still gets a wow factor though; the blade, map and books look awesome

Your attention to detail as always is most impressive. Whilst I do agree with some comments above (particularly the warmer lighting and candle flame), I think your images usually have that 'dirty and gritty' look and have a distinctive style. To me this is another fine example.

The candle is a bit "overexposed" at the top and too dark on its sides as for me, but the whole atmosphere is excellent. Really "fantasy" mood although there`s nothing from outside the real world. I saw a couple of great works here in the Lightwave gallery recently. Did they release a new version? :)
