Most excellent! I too would have said, if I had been asked earlier in my life (and rather indignantly) "I serve NO ONE! NO ONE is MY master!" But I was wrong. I've come to realize we ALL serve something - someone. I can say now "As for me and my house - we will serve the Lord" - thank you for this post =) It's a crucial question for everyone to ask themselves honestly (and not just Christians - but everyone) Peace, and God bless

I'll bet many indignant people think they serve no one and are masters of their own fate. But everyone serves the cruel clock, ticking life away minute by minute. And everyone serves their own rumbling stomach, because the curse of mankind is to earn our food by the sweat of our work. Only by coming to know the God who made everything (including a pathway back to the paradise He originally intended for us) can you choose to serve a master who is actually worthy of being served -- one who is loving, giving, generous, and gracious to all. One who will never fail you or fade away.
