Description

Some may think so. When armed with a camera, this guy can be quite dangerous. There are few individuals that spark as much contraversey and debate as Michael Moore. Whether he's hounding the president of General Motors ("Roger & Me") or bashing the president of the United States ("Fahrenheit 9/11"), Michael inspires, infuriates, disgusts, and astounds people everywhere. Some of you old time 'rosity members may remember that I expressed a lot of very unpopular opinions in the days that followed 9/11/01. When I saw Moore's F9/11 I felt vindicated to some extent. Here was a guy saying on film the same things that I'd been saying for the past three years. I've always been a fan of Moore's and always will be. Here's a guy that is proving that the pen (or, in his case, the lens) is indeed mightier than the sword. And I can't wait for his next Oscar acceptance speech.

Yea, I__ like Mike. He's my idea of a real patriot. How'd you make this; is it a filtered photo?

Dangerous to whom? Personally, I also can't wait for the guy to make his next appearence, anywhere. He's one of Bush's biggest unintentional vote-winners when he starts spewing his ravings. Naturally, he gets all kinds of kudos and back-pats from the Hollywood party scene, Dan Rather's producers, and the die hard liberals like yourself-- but in mainstream america he's a big fat laughingstock. The biggest danger he poses is that someone might painfully pull a muscle from laughing too hard.

I like the pic and the sentiment. I saw "Fahrenheit 9/11" and am glad that the movie showed some of the information tying the Bin Laden's and Bushes. The '7 minutes' was almost better than any science fiction. I have seen video showing the small explosions on all sides of the Trade Center BEFORE the collapse. Understand that I lived 10 miles below the Trade Center on 9/11, our newspaper's obituary sections were bigger than the sports sections. There were people that I knew who were killed that day, no family in our area was untouched by direct of friend connection. What happened was horrific....the American public deserves the complete truth. Oh, btw....the government also says that those were weather balloons and swamp gas in Area 51. ;)

What 'next oscars appearance'? I certainly admire the conviction in you, but what he does is called PROPAGANDA, which is spouting a whole bunch of bullcrap and claiming it to be true. Chew on this for a while; former president Clinton was offered bin Laden a few times from Saudi Arabia, I think, and Clinton said no to every offer. Bush on the other hand, is trying to hunt the bastard down and hang him. Bowling for Columbine was a laugh and a half too. And just beacuse this college-drop-out of a loser says what you say doesn't make it right. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is that liberalism in America is a failure of the first order, and will continue being that way.

Thanks for your comments, ChrisNz. I trust, of course, that you have valid and verifiable documentation to back up your claim that "Clinton was offered Bin Laden a few times from Saudi Arabia"? You see, Moore's films are certainly slanted toward his particular point of view (you'd have to be crazy not to admit that) and you can call that propaganda (I call it editorial) if you like... but every fact presented in "Fahrenheit 9/11" is just that: a fact, all backed up by verifiable sources (visit Moore's website for a complete list of sources, broken down statement by statement). Chew om this for a while: the Miriam-Webster online definition of Propaganda includes the following: "ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause; also : a public action having such an effect" so Moore's film may be propaganda, but so is every sppech given us by that beady-eyed little Texan. I, for one, will be proudly signing his eviction notice this November.

Thank goodness the powers the be have not yet fully dismantled our constitutional freedoms. It is important to our children's and our country's future that Michael Moore or you or I be free to investigate and express our findings, interpretations and opinions. Herdng citizens in "Free Speech Zones", villifying anyone who does not vote the way you want (re: GWB and the UN), and defining one own reality through poswer and corruption makes our country weak, even if a few get rich and strong from these activities. Our political leaders need to learn a few things: 1) Respect all votes, do not invalidate or loose votes of the poor. Win elections, do not just sway judges. 2) Honor your oath of office pledge to protect and defend our constitution and the rights it gives all of us, not just the rich and powerful and not just in times with a lower terror alert level. 3) Work with other countries, do not try to needlessly go it alone. 4) If you are elected, you are elected to serve, not to be royalty! Learn, admit your mistakes, and grow as a person, do not just "Stay the course". Heck, the course was set years ago and not it seems by the people, you now have new facts and world conditions, so adapt and grow or resign! That is my take, I respect your right to feel and think differently!
