Description
This is a panorama with 2 photos from a dredge, taken in north germany in Horno. Previously was a village in the hole created by this monster!

What are they mining? Never seen a machine quite like this one. Most big dirt machines I've seen are draglines.

thanx for comments! Actually they use this machine to mine coal. In the year 2004 they destroyed a village (graveyard inc) to extract that polluting coal to feed a power station, who would be shuted down anyway because it's not lucrative. I document that nonsense, and i have to admit that those machines have their own beauty!

They do have thier own beauty,and I am always fascinated by huge machinery. Thanks.Looks like all the offices and lunchrooms,storage etc is all incorporated right on the machine.
