I really can't think of anything this reminds me of, but I liked it.
It's a QuaSZ quaternion with PSP for the usual postwork.

This is so cool Dennis! Unusual shape and texture. The pink bits look like rose petals to me. The shiney lines remind of pulled taffy also. Excellent design.
