Looks like just the sun with an interesting corona on the left instead of on top. I might have rotated the image so the corona would be on the top. Just my own personal taste--not criticism of any kind. A very nice image.

beautiful - great colours - very warm - nice combination of shapes a simple moon surrounded by the wonderfully edged crescent - especially with the edges of dark blue

I like this one very much, especially in view of the upcoming full eclipse of the moon (the last viewable from North America until 2007). The colors are beautiful (again the skew from normal in keeping with what happens in an eclipse); the forms and details keep it very interesting. I especially like that you retained a full lobe of the fractal in native form but colored - to me it enhances the sense of atmosphere. Really excellent work!
