little spared

sentiments prolonged
for what was before.
Alone and unsettled
yet set in your head,

adventures dead.
A spontaneous future
never to unfold.
Your dreams and desires
thrown out to the cold.

I liked it. Best line: "Alone and unsettled yet set in your head" as I can completely relate to feeling that way. The only area I might consider tweaking would be "A spontaneous future never to unfold" as if it were spontaneous, I can't see it having been folded to then, sadly, never unfold... you know what I mean? Or, perhaps, it's just the way my brain is wired. :)
