Description
Started modelling my glasses as practice in subdivision modelling (hey, I just figured out what Smooth Shift is for) and it seemed to turn out well enough to upload here.
And there is a faint glow on the lens in MacHall style.
Modelling: 3 hours
Texturing/Lighting: 1 hour

Very accurate and realistic work. One to be proud of bud!

Great modeling! I'm not so sure about the refraction though, the view gets very distorted.

Superbly done. I have to agree with magnush's comment on the refraction though. Might be interesting to see what this would look like fitted with bifocal lenses... not that you need them. :o)

The refraction was just trying to get some sort of effect when looking through the lens (as lightwave doesn't produce magnification effects through lenses). I'll try another render with the refraction at like 1.01 to get rid of the waviness. And bifocals would look cool, I should try that.

Personally, I dont like the glow a its distracting. Maybe add some contrast to make the image stronger. Modelling is fantastic. Well done.
