I think this is great! So many of our members have a excellant eye for composition and getting the "Mood".I am afraid that there is somrthing you very well know u missed.Just one detail that needed more attention to and probably a pain in the ass to achieve. The doorway where the edges meet the stones should be continuous.Sorry :i

Knowing the quality of your work from the Terragen days, you might find the tutorial by Rollmops in the Cinema 4D tutorials section on how to build bricks useful for scenes like this. The technique is not application specific and gives you a different approach to using image maps. Nice work by the way.

Overall I love the textures, mood and composition. The only thing I would flaw here are the too perfect steps. I'd expect them to be as rugged or worn as the floor (Maybe a little cracked, or concave in the center - you know what I mean). You know, more integrated into the rest of the image. There may also be some texture stretch or smear right at the right edge of the stairway.

Great textures and nice idea. I remember seeing this pic in DeviantArt also... Do you have a gallery there or do I remember wrong?
