I'd like to see you sweat more often...this is very original; love it! It's NOT Dali, but it gets my V anyway.

LOL!! It made u sweat huh! ;) Well, to be honest, I don't rely to this at all! I feel the same about Dali's work! I find it very good and creative but it definitely doesn't move me! So I think u did a great job considering the circumstances! I don't think I could do something I don't like and I don't even want to try so I'm quite admirative of ur attempt! ;)

...I have mixed feelings about Dali --- but this is certainly in his wheelhouse and a very well executed piece -as well as a social comment.

I don't think I can understand Dali- but your textures and colors here, and the mood, are all excellent and meaningful.

Very powerful & moving imagery Gun, the sense of barreness, the usee of negative space & the surreal imagery are all so reminiscent of Dali, all stamped with your own insight & style!

Impressive! And emotionally moving picture. I think this is worth of all sweat... You've really made your own art from inspiration of Dali :-)

I agree with Bev. A good attempt even if you didn't particularly enjoy it. Good sense of composition. I think Dali is one of those artists who tends to polarise people: you either like him or you don't. Some of his paintings take my breath away in wonder while some others don't quite work for me, so I'm somewhere in the middle I guess, which is pretty typical of me ;-)

I too think you have captured some of the essence of Dali, but in your own unique way. Like Jim said, Dali is a very subjective artist and even if you don't understand him, you have still managed to be disturbing without being outwardly obvious. Great addition to the theme hugs Thank you for sharing as always :)

Dali was a brilliant technical painter who used layers built up in meaning to excite reactions. A intense person with a symbolic-sexual and political bent. His dry landscapes mirror his homeland in Spain Catalan. He had extreme nervous energy but focussed dreamlike social undercurrents through his complete dedication to his art.
