Description

Time for a change something lighter and brighter something sassy something fun I want to be surprised when I look in the mirror I want to re-sculpt myself without fear Time for a change something stronger and deeper self-realizations and clarity stop me from feeling weaker I want to bring brightness into my life something to shine when I'm overrun by strife Time for a change time for hope time for peace I want to regain myself I want the doubts to cease _________________________________________ This didn't turn out as intended because Torin decided to pitch a fit and Jay wasn't much help so this is not one of my best efforts but I'm posting it anyway since I just wrote it and the pic is a self-portrait of my newly blonde hair. But because it's quite a dramatic change for me, I'm only showing a smidge of the hair and then my eye and eyebrow...

Hey, well done on the hair! It's scary doing a big colour change, I know. I went from flame red to ultra blonde a few years ago - I was scared to go out in public at first but now I wouldn't change it back. I love playing with hair colour when things are tough, too - fun!

This is a link to MY blonde days....they were fun ;) Now I'm doing natural, down to my *ss and that is the way it will stay. I do add a bead or feather or a bead AND feather from time to time. LOL Enjoy the new you. ;) http://www.renderosity.com/gallery2.ez

I'm reminded of the Van Morrison song, "Brown-eyed girl". Let me know if blondes, do indeed, have more fun? WINK. Btw, at my age, I'm just happy as heck to have hair.

I know we just had our little conversation about this, but now that I've read the poem in question I'm afraid I have to agree with everyone else; and you know I'm not one of the sheeple. YOU may not think that this is one of your best, but having read a metric tonne of your work over the years, I have to disagree. Knowing you like I do, I know what a big deal accepting change is, never mind wanting it AND expressing that you want. There is elegance as well as excellence in simplicity. Never forget that. As a side note, I am once again your polar opposite; in hair colour at least. :)

LOL! Thanks sweetie, and thanks for the time-consuming job of bleaching and dyeing my hair for me on Sunday ;)
