Born to the name Aragorn by hippie musician-artist parents in California. I now live in the wonderful country of Sweden. Going back and forth as often as possible. Creativity is a big part of me; photography, drawing, painting, 3D graphics, landscaping, carpentry, writing, game editors and making films. Other than being creative I like to do random stuff, like swimming in underground caves, climbing cliffs, hiking, train Wing Chun, and of course drink a cold Danish beer in the summer sun :) If you cant be a good example, be a horrible warning. And no I dont know Frodo!

Yeah, DOF takes some practice and a LOT of rendering time, but it's usually worth it. Great image and wonderfully realistic. One suggestion - because of the multiple shadows on the ball, it's a bit too obvious that you've got more than one light. Why not turn off the shadows on all the lights except one?

you have class at booleans - and I like how you managed the reflective materials: clear work

I looked at the DOF option in Bryce and turned away, it looked too technical for me and it took too much render time. I know nothing about photography. Great job, looks like you applied it well.
