Description

Welcome to my new large series "the rotten barrack"! I did elapse some time for these pictures I did in summer this year in Carinthia, Austria, because I didn't think they are worth to be posted. Today I rushed through the folders of this journey again and was more than sure to start the series right now. Well, what I will show you in the next days is a forgotten and nearly totally rotten building used by the military a long time ago. A treasure chest for the art-photographer. It was not completely harmless to enter that building, but it was also no trespass (hopefully ;o). On the other hand kids are using these rooms as a playground since a long time. And this fact will be also a part of this series. Well, enjoy, and, as you all know, comments are welcome! Fujifilm FinePix S7000. F 2.8, 1/15s, ISO 200, FL 35mm, tripod and UV filter. Kindly regards, Ikarius.

A very imaginative composition, to see appeal where no order exists. Well captured.

The cast of light & color seems to pull the "character" of decay to the forefront and make it beautiful. Fabulous

Nice colours, and a great playground for the kids. Keep checking for spooks on your tail.

Creative use of what is available. Many artlessminds over look the ordinary mundane as art and or the historical value of what is around them. thanks for the series.
