Description
I took this back in July while on Clingman's Dome in the Smoky Mountains. I think it is about the strangest plant I have ever seen...sort of reminds me of a brain. *lol* I've been doing research & contacting horticulturists in the area trying to find out just exactly what this plant is. If anyone out there knows, please tell me!

it looks dangerous and I guess it can move real fast like a predator....must be some sort of mutant crocodile...great finding, never saw something like this!
