Description

Do you hear the water whispering? It's voice soft, sensuous, beckoning seductively Surrender... Enchanted I concede Stalked by unbridled Desire... Entangled in icy grips as it surreptitiously draws My gaze into its soul Exotic shades of terror and Exhilaration... As the water writhes in bittersweet agony Externally haunted By ghosts of the undead Passion... The salty tribute of my heart Caress the liquid angst, As I succumb To tast the unforbidden Ecstasy Suddenly my essence takes flight Searching for a mystic paradise Known only as Serenity~ Didn't know quite what category to put this one in Thanks for all the comments on my last posts As always your views and comments are appreciated:)

Well, at last I've met someone else who gains serenity/peace through sensuality/erotica and not necessarily through sexual contact! Brilliant!

Well, my dear I think you picked the perfect catagory for this one, because you set an excellent atmosphere for serenity, and where better to find it but inside the soothing thoughts of liquidity.

"Suddenly my essence takes flight, serching for a mystic paradise, known only as serenity." A powerfully emotional ending to a beautiful peace. I very much look forward to more of your work :)

Wow. This kind of reminds me of someone walking into the sea to drown. That would be a kind of serenity, wouldn't it... lonely and peaceful at the same time. It almost wraps around me.

Ha,ha,ha,ha.. Sorry, not laughing at you.. but at avalonfaayre above. I was thinking the same thing while reading your poem, kinda sad and suicidal. Fine line between serenity and despair sometimes. I won't need a shower for this one, in fact, now I'm afraid of the water.. hehe. Really excellent poem Susan!!! Especially your last line! Love it! Just love it!!!! Dave :^)

Very nice, it does have a very serene mood, 'suddenly my essence takes flight' does indeed suggest as others have stated a finality of some sort, but it is a very calming piece, thanks for sharing

very nice, sounds like one of thos ethigns that is just so beautiful you can' tbear to lok at it all the time afraid it won't be beautiful to you anymore, but at the same time it's so beautiful you can't keep from staring and admiring, like frozen in place with an inability to do anything but exist in the moment, sincerely captivating
