Description


People are the soul of a nation. With their traditions, religious and cultural heritage , they lend character to their country. I found the Burmese people extremely friendly and hospitable. This lady was very thrilled to see her picture being taken, insisted on giving me a handful of peanuts and refusing to accept money for it! This is one of my favourite photographs.

Now, I understand perfectly what you meant in your comments about how people of the "western countries" react when you try to take shots of them... Please, continue to preserve this difference and to give us these pictures of your culuture...

Ahhh, I would imagine she had discovered the advantages of free advertising! You take her picture selling peanuts...you show all your friends back home...then on their next vacation they go see the peanut lady! (lol)
