I have played around with Daz Studio and I think it has its good points and its bad ones... The newest version of it has a lot of improvements over earlier versions and seems to be a lot more stable. The biggest difference I have noticed between Poser and Daz Studio is the lighting and the bump maps. The lights are much more sensitive and the bump maps come out a lot stronger in Daz Studio.. The detail you can get is better then poser in my opinion... I am sure you will have fun with it and it looks like you are off to an excellent start...
