Description
From where do you come
Shadowman?
You live in the
darkness of night,
You die in the
light of day,
From where do you come
Shadowman?
Dressed in a shroud
of deepest black,
Hiding behind your
Mirrored shades,
From where do you come
Shadowman?
Tell me please
while night's still here,
Tell me fast before
the darkness fades,
From where do you come
Shadowman?
Shadowman?
SHADOWMAN!!!
From where do I come?...
From the highest of hills
to the lowest of valleys,
I am here yet...
I am there...
From where do I come?...
From the deep of the sea
to the high of the sky,
I am everywhere yet...
I am nowhere...
This is from where I come...
And to where I now go.....

'From where do you come Shadowman?' From inside your thoughts? The bogeyman or the monster in the closet? I like this. V

The bounce of reading this makes it sound almost like a nursery rhyme, but it's so much more. I really like the concept of shadowman, and I have to giggle a little at TallPocket's comment as well. My self-appointed nickname in grade school used to be "The Shadow" until I heard of the old radio show, and then they made a movie out of it (a really cheesy movie). Good writing.

"I am everywhere yet... I am nowhere... This is from where I come... And to where I now go....." Such power in those words alone! Excellently written, this really grabbed me. Vote!

TallPockets comment nailed what this made me think of too ;) The only suggestion I've got is where you wrote: "From the deep of the sea to the high of the sky" it reads a lil off to me, perhaps "depth" and "height"? But then, the person who knows the poem best is the poet... :)

I actually tried both words before I accepted to myself that it was finished & they just didn't seem right, but thank you for the input... :):)
