Description
Amongst a tutorial/forum experiment I had seen a method of global lighting I've never heard of before. It was done by Arianod, Flak and Agent Smith who know far more about this than I do. But I guess as simply as I can figure, instead of using a million lights to simulate the global lighting, use a large sphere and in materials, give it additive properties. Then apply the highest render settings. I get the luxury of Bryce's DOF feature and things and yet cut my render time in half. AND I still feel more in control of the scene than with a light dome. Cheers to these experimentalists for giving this guy a whole new mess of options to work with. Thank you! Thank you also to Tony Lynch for the wood airplane model for this image. You're truly one of the best digital wood craftsmen I've ever seen! Blessings to all.
