Description

this one can do what it wants pretty much. the flowers are no more than a 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter to get an idea of the bee size!! I shot this in Shreveport in the river park downtown , and I accidently found a orchid show and the President of the society of orchids/ Shreveport gave me permission to take as many fotos at the show I wanted. Too say the least I seen more orchids in one place than I have seen in my life!! Wow! That is gorgeous! Is that a honey bee? I thought at first it was a bumble bee, but if the flowers are that small, it must be a honey bee. Wonderful image!!!

Wow Richard, this is such an excellent photo, so sharp and clear. How marvelous for us to be able to study a Bee so closely, when normally we'd be leggin' it....ha ha ha. And aren't it's wings absolutely gorgeous and fascinating..actually they remind me of some of the flame fractals we make..smile. It's wings also look like the finest and most delicate stained glass, don't you think ? Anyway, this is a first class shot !!!! VOTE
