Description
All tapped out,
emotionless or depleted,
either way it's a relief.
A sort of euphoria after a long struggle,
it won't last though.
A deep sadness will creep up on me,
the pain will set into my body,
and that sense of insanity,
looming in the horizon will return.
But not yet,
not this very moment.
For now I feel somewhat.....
Peaceful.

Hang onto that peace, nurture it, and perhaps it will prevail over the impending sadness! :-)

I can hear your sigh and feel your resignation to the cycle that you seem to find yourself in. As AusPoet said..."hang onto that peace"...fight for it. Sometimes we have to fight to keep from slipping back into darkness. When you write and I (or anyone else) can feel a part of you in those words, you know you've accomplished something wonderful. Something that only you can do. Excellent writing.
