I thought I might post a few of the fractal images I made way back when before Ultrafractal came out and figured I'd use the name that I used WAY back in the days when all we had was AOL and Compuserve. I used to upload images to the AOL free fractal wallpapers gallery back in '95-'97 where I saw works by some of the "old masters" like Linda Alison and others. This one isn't one of the earliest ones, I made it in 1996, but its kind of a sentimental favorite of mine - not really all that technically advanced and could use rendering if it was possible with those old programs but I hope y'all like it. Not really a "pure" fractal - guess I've been a "heretic" almost from the beginning! lol Sorry about the bad thumb - it's a .jpeg of a .bmp of a bunch of .gif's and it wasn't happy being compressed as hard as I tried to make it better - lol
Keith oughta get a grin out of this one! lol

Delightful image! Love the shapes and colors. No wonder you are such an expert at making fractals---you've been doing it for years. Thanks for sharing this and hope you will post some more of your earlier images.

Thanks, Marion! Actually, I only did fractals for short periods: '95 to '96 - for about 9 months to a year in '98 to '00 and then I came back to them years later around winter of '03 when UF3 came out and made the alpha channel stuff easier to understand. Took a LONG time of letting things settle into my lazy, slow brain! lol

Wonderful vintage work. I have a copy of this downloaded from AOL Lord knows how long ago; have always enjoyed the colors and the great forms and flow of the composition. Lively, scintillating and excellent work!

This is enchanting, Rick and really well done! I remember Flarium24- have a few myself fashioned from this very first freebie fractal program. But I never came even close to a compo like this one. Fractabulous!
