Description

Desperately trying to improve my modeling techniques here. The gun(a Beretta 92F semi-automatic)is fairly accurate but definitely requires alot more work. Also, on one or two occasions, I've been asked if all my work is done in Bryce. Usually I start in Illustrator to do any drawing-then to Infini-D 4.5 to do any complicated models(I have Carrara, but it constantly freezes when I attempt opening it)-then I go to Bryce where I finish modeling and compose scene-then sometimes to Painter and finally to Photoshop for post production. What can I say...it works for me. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your kind comments regarding the work I have submitted over the last two months. Many thanks!

Nice work, ever try Rhino? The blood spill looks a little thick, otherwise nice job.

Nice work. Your pistol model is coming along. You might want to lower the reflection level on it for added realism. At least mine's not that shiny! ;) The money lookes good, perhaps ambience is a tiny bit high but otherwise very cool. As for the bullets they are snazzy but don't resemble 9mm slugs. I'm sure you can do realistic 9mm with your obvious modeling ability. Keep it up!

Wow, that is gorgeous. Agreed about the reflection map, it looks like it's a black gun with steel reflectivity. And some additional attention could be placed to the clip, it's not as nice as the rest of the gun. Also the bullets, they are quite a bit too large for that gun. I'm sure the internet has got some pics to model from. Other than that, just have fun with the lights and be very, very proud of this picture.

This is a nice image - much better than about 90 percent of still lifes posted in here. As the comments posted above mention - those changes and maybe a more chrome metal on the shell casings on the ammo...I like the shine on the gun but you might try upping the specular settings to give it more of a hotter and smaller spec reflection.

I like this a lot...the blood looks a little like wax, try some more reflection on the material. Otherwise perfect. I want that Beretta! Let me know if your gonna post it! Great work
