Description

This one was a hard nut. Kept my mind occupied for quite a while. Trying to make a splash in closeup inside Vue. First i tried to use several volumetric materials and some wave looking objects. Then i tried to create it with the particle system of Cinema 4D. All not with the success i wanted. And not very flexible too. Finally i remembered a very old idea from someone here in the forum (sorry, i forgot who did it first). Use a tree and change the leave material so that it meets the needs. Thats what i did then. Created a bitmap in Photoshop with white dots on a black ground and changed the leave material. And made the bark material totally transparent to get rid of that. This worked to the extend of what you see here. With the Plant Editor of Vue Pro and its wind feature you have a very flexible solution. Who is who here? Lyne's Creations caracal from her Wild Cats package; vegetation RDNA and Shari123 (shrubs); atmosphere stamate_filip from marketplace here; water material and waves from monsoon's seascape package (3DCommune); DAZ fish, retextured by moi; me, my Mac, Vue Pro 4 and Vue 5 Esprit. Rendered with Global Ambience.

Beautiful picture ... very good splash ... I did use trees in my picture 'Patio' ... the summit of the fountain is a palm tree with a water texture. But to make splash like this is a excellent idea ... I will sure try soon. Thanks for sharing ... oh and congrats for today's potd
