Description

When I arrived the castle I was very disappointed! I wanted to take some beautiful shots like I've seen on tourist-cards. But those shots were taken from sky or from a near neighbour mountain. The giuded tour was to expensive! I had to walk a long time until reaching the castle. In front of it I couldn't take pics, because it was to close and there was no chance to get a little distance. And the best: they were restoring the building with scaffolding around! the only place to capture it was the far parking place. The famous Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany (Allg

I know that feeling, for me was exactly the same, whising to be an eagle. In the first shot youve capture the essence of the castle so well. Thanks for sharing.

Rita I was there also!! You captured a very good image. I was there during skiing season in the 80's. I know about the trek to get there! I thought I was playing a role in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. We took this old wagon filled with hay "Half Way Up"! The guy driving the wagon looked like Dr Frakenstein's assistant. I did however get some great shots inside. I used a Pentax 645. I'm going to see if I can dig up the film and share with you!!

Such are the trials of the avid photographer... I think these shots are pretty good myself... capturing the isolation of the castle and it's majestic feel.
