J'adore ce genre d'escalier ancien aux marches en pierre souvent uss par d'innombrables passages... C'est une excellente photo avec de belles couleurs! Bravo!

This is beautifully composed, but the large white areas with no detail are not so nice. Perhaps the original uncompressed image shows that detail?

Thanks for your comments! These stairs make it possible to go under the aqueduct of Roquefavour. You can see the beginning of a pink stone arch all in top. Disappointing, not?

Perhaps a little steep for me but inmensely beauty! I disagree with cheescanoe: the large white areas with no detail are nice and are testimony of the bright mediterranean light over the whitewashing walls. And, if the original uncompressed image showed that detail, I say, permit me, that the original uncompressed image is an ass: Mediterranean light over withewashing walls is like this: it lets no see any detail because it dazzles you.

Beautiful, and I too like the bright section... helps portray the moment you shot the scene and accentuates the graduated shadow portion. Kudos.

Puff Puff Pant Pant........ oh please, take me to the top someone. I can't climb so high, atleast not stairs. I climb up the stairs at work.89 steps and i am splat when I reach the floor landing........ sometimes I have cramps...... not a nice feeling but I am keeping it regular to improve my depleted stamina. An awesome post my dear friend.:O))

This arouses my curiosity :] I want to find out where the steps lead to. I want to eat my bread and cheese whilst sitting on them. I want to read my book whilst leaning against the wall, in the shade :] That's what I like about this image, I can loose myself in it :]
