Yeah, this is to be me. Woohoo...
Not much to look at, but then again, I like to stay indoors. Escpecially when it's a cold day.BIOName's Risto Kokkonen, and I come from Finland, the promised land of depression and high suicide rates (and all time lowest corruption). I started doing graphics once and never been able to shake it off. I create images by heart, not really thinking why I put somethings to where they are; They just look good there. Therefore my images are approx. 20% designed and 80% impulsive.
My main progs are at the moment LightWave and Photoshop. I've tried Bryce a bit once, but never really got the hang of it. Maybe I should try again later. I also use Apophysis to do some weird fractal stuff. Beats smoking joint.
On the other hand I compose music, play in a band and do graphic- and webdesigns and code HTML, PHP, MySQL and a bit Java to whoever needs one. Also started studying Flash.
Oh yeah, All my works are also located at:

(It's under heavy construction and somethings won't always work, but hey, it's an imperfect world anyway.)

I don't have a problem with the dark image. I think it lends a lot more drama and if you had a large bright ball of energy escaping the firing tube, it would make sense that the surrounding area would appear darker in contrast. I definitely like the mood better in the retouched version.

WoW cool nice drone turret. I imagine they are positioned around some station they have to protect like drone mines. Excellent idea., though i like the original pic more than postworked.

Both lighting versions have merit, and I really think that it all depends on the mood you are trying to convey with these. My critical input here is on the modeling... it would be nice to see more articulation and detailing. Give it more parts and pieces, to help reinforce the feeling that this is one big, lethal and very complex weapon. :o)
