I am sorry to say this but I am not convinced this is what you saw when you stood at that place. It looks as if you changed something in the air an the clouds to make it look raining. Maybe I am wrong about this... please let me know.

Those are definitely rain clouds with a "Wall of Rain" coming. Hawaii has an unusual type of rainfall. It will look like a "Wall of Rain" coming towards you. You can be 20 feet away from that "Wall of Rain" and not get wet. Take a step further and you're soaked. We also have another nick name for rain, "Liquid Sunshine". It can be raining on you and yet the sun will be shining with a ray of light on you giving you a suntan all at the same time. Unusual wind conditions will cause this. Na'alehu has a very excellent scenic view along its coast line that I'm sure you would enjoy. Unfortunately at this time, we are under a "Flash Flood Watch" and possibly more thunderstorms Aloha

Rain is as it was when captured. I have several pictures of the same scene. Image was lightened because it was quite dark at the time. Other than that it is as I saw it. I wish my PW could produce that effect.

yes i can see the wall of rain on the horizon i think... it was those light beams that threw it off :] still has a magic to it

Passing rain showers over the ocean are very beautiful to look at, and I think you captured the view perfectly. The dark tones of the land are very amazing too...looks like a very cold day, perfectly done =)
