Description

This post is for Sheila. I thought I'd bring a piece of the desert to you and I jazzed up the blue a bit, since I know you're a big fan of this color like I am. I wish you nothing but blue skies ahead!!!

The desert blue always enchanted me. I remember your pics from the old cam too....when you posted that biggie one cactus....the sky always appear a bit more blue than what I am used to. The city sky is all grey and dull, probably due to vehicular smoke, industries and millions of housholds cooking?? Anyway.... this is a real treat and an excellent dedi for a friend as charming as Sheila. Sheila...... I'm sure you gona love this Wisegift.:O)) Bravos wisey.:O))

This will remain for me the "Tucson blue" (I spend one year in 1981 as a postdoc at the U of A... I will never forget Tucson, the desert, the atmosphere and the friendliness of the people ! I really enjoy your gallery, Rachel :)

This kind of looks like a Joshua Tree, as I understand that some Joshua Trees range is Mojave Desert of extreme southwest California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona, at elevations from 2,000 to 6,000 feet.

Fabulous dedi! Love the blue, I don't know about you, but I was looking through the cameras screen at the same time as I was looking at my subject, and i din't think that the camera seemed to capture the saturation/intensity of color? I always "Bump-up" the levels, and sometimes the saturation. This is also a great composition! love the ballance of positive and negative space! Great job!
