Description

Being a princess isn't everything that it is cracked up to be. For Princess Alexandra, heir to the throne of Norvocia, it is a role with little time for herself as she tries to fulfil all the expectations of her position, whether they be from her parents, the King and Queen, subjects, servants, you name it. From early morning until late at night, Alexandra kept busy learning her future duties as queen. For her, the Royal Court is a dreary, stuffy place where the pomp and circumstance is more tedious than glorious. Alexandra's secret retreat--her sanctuary--is the small balcony just off her bedroom. It is her own private world, from which even her servants are banished. Only her two siamise cats are allowed to share the secrets of her retreat. Rarely, Alexandra gets to stay more than a few minutes, but once or twice during the day or evening, she manages as much as a half hour in her hideaway, playing with her pets, enjoying the flowers and the beautiful autumn folliage, the view of the city spread below with the snowy range looming in the distance. She likes to sit on the railing. It feels slightly risky, but there's really little danger of her falling off the balcony. It is only a second story balcony and the trees would likely help break her fall. Tthe balcony is the sole place in the palace where Alexandra's true self is allowed to come out. Being herself is a rare treat, which she values beyond all else. Her moments on the balcony are the jewels in her day. Credits: Balcony from PoserWorld. Trees are RDNA Old Wood Trees and the leaves are from Modualz's Fall Folliage package in his Shrub series. Cat textures by Lyne Masamitsu. V3 figure using ST Empire Mats and poses. Her skin texture by MaskEdit. Hair is Loki Hair. Flower baskets obtained at RDNA and were by Judith Ward--I think. Chains holding up pots were net freebies. Thanks as always for looking, Jeremy
